From Dubai to Praha

On 2nd June 2011, I arrived at Dubai International Airport at 4:50 a.m., local Dubai time. I had been flying and transferring for more than 12 hours from Kuching since 1st June 2011 at 8:00 p.m., local Kuching time.

That wasn't the end of my journey yet. It was another 5 hours of waiting time until I could board the flight to continue my journey to Prague.

The transfer time was too long for just 'sit and wait' but too short for me to make a return trip to downtown Dubai. Therefore, I decided to roam around the airport.

There wasn't really much for me to see except shops after shops in the airport.

I gave up my plan of roaming around just after an hour or so and I decided to find a quite place near my boarding gate to read books and play games on my iPhone.

Time was killed really easily with my iPhone around. That's one amazing device Steve Jobs has created!

This was me with hardly any sleep for the past 18 hours. I was finally on my last leg of flight to Prague!

Some savoury biscuits were offered not long after taking off. I gobbled up the whole packet despite the tiredness.

When lunch came with some herbed chicken, I gobbled up everything as well; cream crackers and cheese not spared!

After 5 hours or so of flying, I was finally on Czech Republic land.

At the 6th hour of flight, the plane touched down at Prague Airport.

By the time I got my immigratiobn clearance, it was already past 2:30 p.m., Prague local time. Considering Prague was 6 hours behind Kuching time, I was flying and waiting at airports for slightly over 24 hours!
