After we had visited the outside and inside of Christ Church Cathedral, we went to the crypt of the cathedral. The crypt is a massive structure acting as a foundation to the cathedral building, dated back to the 12th century. It is considered the largest cathedral crypt in Britain or Ireland.
There is a café at the crypt serving cakes, pastries and coffee. Therefore, we sat down to enjoy a cuppa with some cakes to go with it before we ended our visit there. The coffee served was also from Bewley's which was very nice. All the cakes that we had were also really scrumptious, particularly the carrot cake.
