Nuts about Chocolates

Ishiya is the most prominent chocolate factory in Hokkaido. Its flagship product is the Shiroi Koibito which is a thin slice of white chocolate sandwiched between two thin butter cookies. Shiroi Koibito literally means the white lover and it is a signature souvenir for tourists to bring back from Hokkaido.

The chocolate factory now houses a theme park using the same name as its signature product, the Shiroi Koibito Park. Being the most prominent chocolate maker in Hokkaido, it just doesn't stop at only one flagship product. There are many more types of mouth-watering chocolates.

Desserts Made in Heaven

When I was in Sapporo, I visited the most prominent Ishiya Chocolate Factory expecting to see only chocolates. I was very surprised to see the display of desserts even finer than the ones I saw in Tokyo!
