It was a Friday (7th June 2013) when we were driving through Kinvara, and there is always a farmers market at the heart of Kinvara village on every Friday since year 2009. When we saw the market being taken place, we quickly jumped out of the car as local markets are always great places to explore while travelling. We had a chance to see the local produce of Kinvara and the laidback lifestyle of the local people there.

Dunguaire Castle
Dunguaire Castle is a 16th century castle at Galway Bay in County Galway, Ireland. The castle was built in 1520 by the O’Hynes clan on the south-eastern shore of Galway Bay.
The water body surrounding the castle hill is full of rocks that resemble cow dungs. At first, I thought the castle derived its name from these rocks. However, the the name has a more noble origin, that is, from the Dun of King Guaire.
The castle ground is open to the public during summer. A small fee will be charged for entering the tower. We spent only a little while at this castle as there were more places ahead for us to visit.
