The Terrain of Duoyishu

Duoyishu (多依树) is a terrain with terraced plantations at the Dongchuan Hongtudi (東川紅土地) region which are covered with crops like highland barley (青稞) and potato. During our time of visit, it was the harvesting season for the highland barley. The potato plants were flowering too at that time. The golden highland barley crops and the purple flowers of the potato plants blended nicely in the scene.

The Valley of Damakan

Damakan (打馬坎) is a valley with terraced plantations at the Dongchuan Hongtudi (東川紅土地) region which is always covered in fog and mist during dawn time. The place was covered with thick fog during our first morning there. We waited for about an hour for the fog to clear up and started shooting photos of this place covered in fog and mist.

We went back there again the following morning to find that the place was clear of fog and mist. Therefore, we were able to capture some photos of sunrise here. It is always worth to visit the same place twice to get photos under different weather conditions. We spent about 2 hours each morning just to wait for the perfect moments.
