When Night Falls on Tokyo

Tokyo Tower is one of the landmarks in Japan that tourists flock to have their portraits taken, just to make a mark that they have been to Tokyo.

I was at the Imperial Palace when I saw the Tokyo Tower, so I thought it was a good idea to walk to see it in the evening during the golden hour. It took me more than an hour to get there from the Imperial Palace, but I have to mention that I detoured to the NHK Broadcasting Museum and a shrine nearby.

I wonder if the Tokyo Tower was modeled after the Eiffel Tower. They look like twin brothers to me, except that Tokyo Tower maybe the shorter one.

There is an observatory at 145 m from the ground level. It is not free though. I paid ¥820 to get up there.

I don't know whether the price I paid for was worth it or not, because there are free observatories at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office. Well, I have paid for it, I decided to enjoy it to the fullest.

There's no doubt that the view of the Tokyo city from the observatory was spectacular. There were rays of light from the sun on the day I visited, I really love sun rays.

Since it was almost sunset time, so I decided to stay on to watch the sunset over Shinjuku. I felt like the price for the ticket was well-worth it from these scenes. What do you think?

I just love the sea of lights at downtown Tokyo!

The bridge at Odaiba is called the Rainbow Bridge. The Ferris wheel belongs to the part of Odaiba called the Palette Town.

After coming down from the observatory, it was good time to capture the lights on Tokyo Tower itself.

I enjoyed my time at the Tokyo Tower very much. If you happen to be in Tokyo, don't miss it.
