The Bridge of Sighs at Oxford was so nicknamed due to it's resemblance to the one in Venice. Its real name is Hertford Bridge, which is not as often referred to as its nickname.
It serves as a link between the Old and New Quadrangles of Hertford College and has been there just a few years short to a hundred.
