During my first evening in Český Krumlov, I waited at the viewing platform to photograph the sunset and dusk views of the Český Krumlov Castle. During summer in 2011, the sun didn't set until about 9 p.m., so I waited.
At 9:30 p.m., the floodlights were switched on, but the sky was still bright. So, I waited again.
It was not until 10 p.m. that the sky turned into a sapphire-blue background for my shooting. It was all worth the wait.
Each of these pictures is a HDR merged from 6 to 9 images. If not for the HDR merging, not much details can be revealed in these high-contrast scenes.
