The buildings in Taiwan cities are very utilitarian as rectangular shapes make the most space out of the structures. Therefore, there are not that many interesting buildings around, including the second largest city, Kaohsiung.
Perhaps a yacht may save the day but it is not a permanent part of the city skyline. I was told by our taxi driver that most of these yachts belong to the mainland Chinese billionaires who do not dare to harbour their yachts in China. Why is that so? Because the poor people may set these luxury toys that cost tens of million each on fire out of jealousy!
The most interesting building may be this landmark of Kaohsiung, but it is still made of three rectangular prisms. The name itself is also not so interesting as it is called by the number of storeys, the Tuntex 85 Sky Tower!
