Saint Patrick's Cathedral, or more formally known as the National Cathedral and Collegiate Church of Saint Patrick, Dublin, is the younger if the two medieval cathedrals in Dublin (the other one is Christ Church Cathedral). It was built in honour of Ireland’s patron saint and being the largest church in Ireland, it is principally as a place of worship. However, it is also open to the public as an architectural and historical site.
