When I was on my way back from the bank, I passed by this courtyard of a building in the University by chance. It was full of cherry blossom trees in full bloom! I couldn't stay any longer because I was with a postgraduate student who brought me to the bank and helped me to communicate with the bank staff.
Apart from sakura, Japanese fancy martial arts as well. Perhaps some of the movements were derived from the sakura trees?
After witnessing the fire-fighting this morning, I went back to the courtyard again to admire the sakura trees. The scene was just spectacular.
I couldn't have enough of it but I had to get back to work. So, I took a few more glances before I left.

Nice. Those are Someiyoshino species. The most common species in Japan. My favorite as it blossoms without any leaf at the same time. Awesome!
I like yodarezakura (weeping sakura) and yaezakura (8 layers sakura) too.
I miss Hanami! Eating onigiri under the breathtaking sakura scene is my favorite thing to do.
Thanks, fish fish. I hope I can see other species at the Shinjuku Gyoen today. I saw only Someiyoshino in the Saitama University campus.
u lucky u! u'll enjoy Japan I'm sure. both my boys want to live there...n if u know of any similar programs for architect students, my girl is taking a gap year this year n Japan can be a great place to intern. no need to tell you to play safe, Japan is so safe. just don't forget you need to maintain a certain waistline to hip ratio to keep that heart healthy.
Hi Terri, I'm enjoying Japan now! Too bad I don't know much of the language which can be of trouble when it comes to ordering food and ask for direction.
Sorry that I can't be of much help on the internship program for your girl. I only know about programs for researchers. She may just search for it on the internet. :)
I ask my girlfriend once, "If we going to imigrate, where should we go?" She said, either;
1. Taiwan
2. Japan
After seeing this beautiful places, i think I prefer Japan. >< I like their anime (One Piece especially) and food alot too!
Yes! If I were to migrate, Japan will be my first choice, but I will have to learn the language first. I like the food here very much. Even the canteen food at the University has nice taste.
