Birthday with the Stones

It was exactly a year ago when I embarked on a tour to the Stonehenge on my birthday. Watching the stones erected from 3,000 B.C. to 1,600 B.C. wasn't too bad a thing to do on a birthday.

The Stonehenge is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also one of the most important historic sites of Britain. It is a place truly not to be missed by tourists.

I was extremely lucky to have my 39-year-old birthday portrait taken with the Stonehenge as the background.

Besides watching the stones, the tourists were also equally attractive with all the peculiar acts.

The designated pathway for visitors surrounds the Stonehenge. Therefore, everybody can take nice pictures of it without obstruction from the other visitors. I walked one round to cover the various angles of the Stonehenge as shown in the series of pictures below.

I was feeling a bit hungry after circling around the Stonehenge and saw the culinary delights of the Stonehenge; rock cake! I bought one and it was superbly delicious!

I wish that I can be as tough as the Stonehenge in withstanding all the obstacles in the years to come. Happy birthday to me!

Love the shot of the crowd enjoying themselves, that;s what it is all about!

Happy Birthday. There is an artist around here that makes replicas of various parts of Stonehenge. He is quite popular.

Hope the rock cake tasted better than it sounds
