Wonderful macro shots, good for a science book.
Very sculptural guy -- he doesn't make me in the mood to mate, however.
I half expected to see a shot of you being swallowed up, the way it's looking at you and then it's fore arms reaching out... It appears almost dragon like with all it's leafy looking armor.
Oh my word --what awesome captures!
Is that a stick insect? Really good captures.
It is a wandering violin mantis. It is also called Indian rose mantis. :)
Awesome captures, your pictures are fantastic! Interesting subject, I have no courage when it comes to these things :)
absolutely awesome captures! did you mount these as well? they are almost prehistoric looking. As much as I admire these photos & are so happy you commented on my blog so I could find you & these amazing photos, I have a feeling these guys will be in my dreams tonite!
Wonderful shots! Happy WW.
I played too. Mine are here and here.
AWESOME!!! YIKES!!!
Fantastic photos. Very cool.
Wow! Great shots... although I feel like I am about to be eaten lol
That's quite an insect. It's a good think they aren't big enough to be a problem, except to other bugs.
You've done a great job with a pretty scary looking critter.
The mos bautifull pictures, foar today. Congratulations!
Wow!!! I love these.
WOW!seems like Avatar! now I know, where did the inspiration come from! :))

That thing is weird looking! Fantastic shots, though.
Wow.
Amazing shots!
Awesome pictures!!! We were just watching a documentary about the Praying Mantis ('mamboretá', as we called them in my native Argentina) on Sunday and we were amazed at the many different types there are and how stunningly beautiful they are... if you're looking at them with the eyes of an entomologist! :-)
My WW post, here
These are awesome pictures!!! It's as though the praying mantis is posing just for you.
Is it real? It looks like a petrified preying mantis.
serious close ups!
WOW! These should be in a magazine!
Fabulous series of macro photos of praying mantis, which I find it so beautiful.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

I was thinking this would make good pages for a science book too.
Really great shots!
I saw the title and went, huh? :)
Those are cool!
This is from planet earth? What an unusual looking creature. Blends in with its surroundings, but even if seen, who would want to eat it?
Great shots!
Very impressive photos! He definitely reminds me of a character from a science fiction movie (maybe Star Wars).
Aliens walk among us, very cool. Your stuff is always so interesting and beautiful to look at. Happy ww:)
Looks like a monster from another world ! I am scared !
Beautiful macros, though !
Wow, what an amazing insect. Looks like a cross between a praying mantis and a dead branch. Beautifully done close ups! Happy WW.
my goodness! Doesn't look a real creature but it is real!
Such an unusual creature. I have never seen one like it before. Pretty scary when it's look right at you.
