The Market Scenes at Honolulu Chinatown

The is an old Chinese saying about overseas Chinese: "Wherever there's water, there is Chinese people." Another version is: "Wherever there's sunshine, there is Chinese people." These sayings reflect how widespread the Chinese people all over the world. Therefore, there in always a Chinatown in a major city. Honolulu of Hawaii is no exception.

Food is a major part of the Chinese culture and there is never lack of ingredients for food preparation in Chinatown. Most of the shops and street vendors in the Chinatown of Honolulu are food related. It is interesting to see that the ingredients for Chinese food are more or less the same at every corner of the world.
