Germany has been well-known for the pork knuckle with crispy skin and tender meat on the inside. Therefore, our tour guide promised us to have a meal with this must-have dish during our last day in Germany.
In order to fulfil his promised, our tour guide brought us to a very nice restaurant at Nuremberg for lunch. The restaurant has a courtyard and also a large dining hall with a medieval setting.

Since our group had sixteen persons, we were seated at a long dining table inside the dining hall. Not long after we had settled down, each of us was served a bowl of soup with egg strips.
Once we had finished with the soup, the famed pork knuckle was served. The portion of pork knuckle was so big that it was more than enough to feed two persons. Therefore, I could not finish it and I skipped dinner too after this meal. The pork knuckle was quite nicely done at this restaurant. The skin was crispy and the meat was tender. The pickled cabbage that went with it was very nice too.
Although I was already very full after the main course, there was still enough room to accommodate two scoops of ice cream to top if off.
